Some dogs get an undeserved bad name because of negative stereotypes. Chihuahuas are seen as too yappy, pit bulls are thought to be aggressive, and bulldogs are assumed to be really, really gassy. Life can be “ruff” for these canines.
More often than not, these assumptions are untrue. Freelance illustrator Laura Palumbo pokes fun at some stereotypes in a series of funny posters for BarkPost, accompanied by text by Zoe Costello and Tiffany White. Armed with her iconic flat minimalist style, she features some popular dog breeds, like pugs, corgis, and bulldogs with funny slogans that are stereotypical of their breed.
Of course, some breeds have their traits, but with the correct training, attention, and love, all breeds can become loving family pups. As Palumbo tells Bored Panda, “I believe that dogs are what their humans are.”
