These Beautiful Photos Of A Family Of Rescued Dogs Will Warm Your Heart

0Adopted and rescued by animal lover Candice Miller, this family of “misfit dogs” will warm your heart with their adorable antics. Miller uploads beautiful photographs of the expressive canines having fun, sleeping, and posing for the camera to her Instagram account ‘@roofusandkilo’.

According to the Huffington Post, Miller started taking in shelter dogs in the last few years, including a pit bull named Kilo who was waiting to be put down at the shelter she volunteers at.  Being beaten and forced to live outside had left the dog weak and fearful, causing him to crawl around on his stomach at the shelter. On the day he was slated to be euthanized, Miller rushed down and picked him up.

“Kilo came into my life at a point when I needed him the most… We both had been through some bad stuff, but together are absolutely happy and healthy,” Miller told the publication. She had just left a stressful job and was coping with the death of one of her older dogs at that time.

Miller also has another pit bull named Roofus that her son brought home three-and-a-half years ago. She recently welcomed the newest addition to the family, a pit bull puppy named Penny whom she saved from a “scary situation” where the mother dog was killing her own puppies. By sharing photos of her household of dogs, she hopes to erase negative and harmful stereotypes of pit bulls and help other shelter dogs find homes. 00 0000 00000 000 000000 0000000
