For 16 years, dog portrait photographer Amanda Jones shared her life with a lovely long haired dachshund named ‘Lily’. Watching her canine friend grow from a playful pup to an adult dog sharing life’s precious moments together, including the birth of Jones’s baby, was what inspired the photographer to create the book Dog Years: Faithful Friends, Then & Now. This project looks at the lives and stories of 30 dogs, some of which Jones had photographed previously over the course of her career.
Through black-and-white images, Jones takes viewers into the lives of her adorable photo subjects in both their early and later years. Published by Chronicle Books, the book is now available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble Check out behind-the-scenes footage and some of the images from the book below.
