Rescued Canine Gets an Incredible Dog House Modeled After the “Up” Home

0Two years ago, a sweet abandoned dog found a home with a man named Steve Minty. He’s a huge fan of the Pixar film Up, and he even named his canine pal “Dug” after the beloved dog character. And now, Dug has a fantastic new home fit for her name. Minty’s best friend, Esteban, nominated him for the YouTube show Super-Fan Builds, where they construct one-of-a-kind items for super fans. They decided to build Dug her own miniature flying dog house affixed with a bevy of balloons – just like in the movie.

Prop maker Tim Baker and his team began by roughing-out the wood frame, and afterwards the magic starts to happen. They meticulously worked to get every detail right, down to the shingles, weather vane, and garden hose. The entire process is really impressive, especially when they formed the cluster of balloons. For that, they created a giant mold using over 750 tiny plastic eggs that mimicked the shape of the real thing. There’s even a miniaturized Carl that looks out the window.

Watch the video below to see the house built from scratch to finish. It’s safe to say that Dug is a lucky dog!
